What's New for the 2019 Honda Fit?

The Fit is a subcompact hatchback that has been manufactured by Honda since 2001. The design of the vehicle was overhauled prior to the 2018 model year. The design of the Fit was slightly tweaked to create a sportier appearance. A new grille and chrome accents were also added to the exterior of the vehicle. Since these changes were just made last year, the 2019 Honda Fit has not received any visual updates. Instead, the 2019 Fit carries on the eye catching design for which it is known.

The Future of Infotainment with the 2019 Fit

The LX, Sport and EX are the three trim levels offered for the 2019 Honda Fit. The LX is the basic trim level of the new Honda Fit. You will find cloth seats, a five-inch LCD touchscreen, hands-free compatibility and cruise control in the new 2019 Fit LX. Upgrading to the Fit Sport will get you fog lights and a seven-inch high-definition infotainment screen that can provide directions, make hands-free phone calls and play your favorite music.

The seats in the 2019 Honda Fit Sport also feature a unique trim to create a sportier look. The Fit EX comes equipped with everything found in the Sport trim level plus a few other extra features. The key features that you can only get with the new Honda Fit EX are a push-button ignition, power sunroof, heated side mirrors and heated front seats.

Under the Hood of the 2019 Honda Fit

2019 Honda Fit Front GrilleEvery 2019 Honda Fit has the same 1.5-liter I-4 engine. This engine is able to provide 130 horsepower and 114 foot-pounds of torque. While you will never get the chance to feel like your favorite race car driver in this subcompact hatchback, the engine provides enough power to safely handle all of your normal driving needs. One of the best things about owning the 2019 Honda Fit is its excellent fuel efficiency. You will be able to get an estimated 33 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway with the new 2019 Fit. Gas prices seem to go up every year, but this will not be a major problem when driving the Honda Fit.

Honda Sensing Brings Added Safety to the Fit

2019 Honda Fit Rear HatchThe Honda Sensing Safety suite will once again be available on the new Fit. This important safety package includes a lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system and adaptive cruise control. These advanced safety features come standard with the Honda Fit EX, but they can also be added to the other trim levels with a simple upgrade. If you do happen to get in an accident while driving the 2019 Honda Fit, then you will still be protected.
